The Good Wife is so much better when they stay away from romantic storylines between two main characters.

Willica make me angry at the way Alicia was acting.

Kalinda and Cary’s friendship is interesting but their romantic story line is boring.

The second half of this season…

I don’t mind romance on shows and the majority of viewers latch onto romances so it’s a major part of every show. A show does need good writers to keep most people happy with a television romance but I have not been impressed with the way that the writers handle romance on the Good Wife.  

The Kalinda/Cary friendship (with some flirting and teasing of course) is interesting but the romantic part has not been done well.  If they got together now it would seem ridiculous because they completely destroyed their trust in one another in the beginning of this season. I find their scenes painful to watch now because I don’t know if the romance is coming or if they are staying just friends.

If the Kalinda/Cary romance happened, they would never last.  They’ll end up making one person the bad guy and I do not want that.  If Kalinda is to blame, I’ll be mad because she is my favorite.  If Cary is to blame, they might as well kick him off the show because apparently the writers think the Kalinda/Cary storyline is all he is able to do.

In summary, no romance.

Lol I am well aware that my opinions are not the popular opinion.  I would never stop watching because of the romance (I am so addicted to the Good Wife, its ridiculous).  I know the romance is going to happen (especially Will and Alicia), all I can hope is that the writers do it well.  If they write the romance well, my opinion may change.

I’m just fearful for Kalinda/Cary that with Kalinda’s tax issues, the writers will have her ask Cary for some sort of help again.  He will help her because he’s a good guy who cares about her and with her husband coming into the story next season, she’ll close off again and he’ll get hurt again and he’ll trust her even less.  I DON’T WANT ANYONE TO HAVE HURT FEELINGS.

Believe me, after that season I’m fearful about everything ;). I hated the total lack of Cary and Kalinda interaction in the second half of the season but It’s not like I’m going to like everything they’ll do with Cary and Kalinda just because it’s romance.

But even with no real romance I think they have already hurt each other a lot, indeed they don’t even talk to each other anymore. And probably they’ll keep on hurting each other until they’ll be able to really reach each other. It can’t be easy with those two characters because they both have issues and flaws so I don’t expect hearts and flowers between them (and sincerely I don’t want them). I also don’t think they’re going to recycle a season 2 plot: we have already seen Cary to help Kalinda. 

I don’t think that they’re going to reuse the season 2 plot either but I’m just so unsure of what they are planning to do that I’m imagining all kinds of crazy things. The Good Wife is always really good at creating story lines that I did not expect and that actually work out really well.  Maybe my anti-romance tirade is just a manifestation of my anxiety because I have no idea what is going to happen and I want to know now. Basically, I’m obsessive and insane.
